Re: Does anybody know
Don't worry. You will get over this. It takes knowledge and a big chunck of time. I'm 32 and it's been a 6 year struggle. I was in my later 20's and living a pretty great life. I had just started dating the most beautiful and intellegent woman in my program. Then I got hit hard by this thing. It was very rough to come to grips with.
The real reason it has taken so long is that I messed up a ton along the way. I had no idea how to really fight it. Also, I come from a medical family that really helped even less. Traditional doctors do not go for the whole candida thing. I cheated a lot at first with the diet and was not very educated. I was looking for a simple pill that would make it better. There is not one. It's a lifestyle thing. The hardest part was telling people in social situations why I could not eat things. Dinner with friends was always a test.
It has only been in the last 2 years that I have been strict about a lifestyle change and cure. It has made a huge difference. I have reached points where I actually thought I was through the woods. You have no idea how wonderful of a feeling that is. And as another good note, any healed plateau i have reached I have never fallen back from. Even if I cheated on my diet. This is because you are slowly replacing and giving good flora back it's place. I don't recomend cheating though.
You will beat this thing if you can stick through the hardships of the task. It will test your character to no end. Stay strong and fight it with pride and you will win out. Stay positive and enjoy learning about your body. Rember to that the human body is pretty amazing at healing itself if it is just given the correct opportunity to do so. Cheer up you'll beat it. :)
I typed this with an iphone so please ignore any mistakes. Hahaha.
