My experience is that if you do cultures from different specimen samples of all bodily fluids etc., and candida keeps showing up, then you have a problem. If it turns to mold, you have a bigger problem.
There are many fungi causing health problems.
In my case, I have Antibiotic producing penicillium very active in stool cultures.
It's a long story, but I believe rDNA recombinant technologies involved in the production of modern Antibiotics is the cause. The gut e-coli carries the gene material for the growth of this strain.
I have determined that it is NOT tetracycline, or 'Cypro'. These are the two I have tested so far. I need to check metroniazole next.
