Re: Help - CO for my sick dog

I found another brand of dog food while I was doing research that doesn't seem to have rice in it. I would run it by your vet to be sure but it looks okay to me. It is Blue Buffalo Wilderness dog food. Blue Buffalo in general looks like a wonderful dog food company but they do make a lot of their stuff with brown rice (don't know how that will affect your pup) but the wilderness looks to be rice-free. It is a very pretty bag with a wolf on it. Here is the link:

It's a little on the expensive side...$40 at petsmart I think for a 26 lb bag but if it's healthy and good for your pup it's totally worth it.

My pup is now on the Purina Vet Diet EN formula and bottled water till we see if this helps. This is what the vet wanted. Since we had to switch him cold turkey he got diahhrea really bad. I now stand corrected. What he had before was no diahhrea, really only mushy stools. It has only been 3 days so in a few more days he should be balanced out I hope. In a few months when he's a bit older and hopefully balanced I think I will try him on this Blue Buffalo Wilderness food. We'll see...

Just wanted to let you know about it :)
