I appreciate and respect his opinion and he very well may be correct in that whatever long term affects he is talking about (i dont know what they are) may only be achieved by using sunflower or sesame.
However, the very fact that my mother had a tumor in her throat (not technically called a tumor, something that filled with fluid) and was seen by several doctors and was going to have to have it continuously drained and/or removed, has now disappeared by using ONLY coconut oil is proof for me. Whatever long term affects he is talking about simply do not outweigh the fact that this tumor is now gone, along with allergies, sinus problems and huge puss pockets in her throat.
Despite this, I have encouraged her to try one of the two oils, to switch them but she remains adamant about coconut, and I can't blame her.
My husbands results with KP on his body, allergies and sinus problems have disappeared due to using coconut oil, with one week of sunflower.
Personally, coconut is too strong for me. I want to use it very much, but have problems with detox every time I do, probably because of my ongoing problem with candida. I hope to eventually be able to use coconut.
On another note, I started with sesame for the very first time 2 days ago and will see how it goes.
I will never dispel the importance of coconut considering the amazing results seen by my family.
