It seems very likely to be detox, but I do notice that if anyone in my neighborhood is having a smoke I can usually smell it even if it is pretty far away? Do you have close neighbors who might have friends coming by who smoke or something?

I think lots of smells that didn't bother us when we were having our bad habits now bother us more. I remember when I first stopped smoking myself that the smell of cigarattes was appalling to me. I became a real smoke nazi. I had not realised how awful it was. It's not like a wood fire or something which is kind of nice to me - I think it is the nicotine coupled with the chemicals they put in the tobacco. Come to think of it, I bet it is more the chemicals than the nicotine because i had a friend years ago who smoked but would not smoke commercial tobacco because of the chemicals and I remember finding the smell actually quite pleasant compared to normal cigaraettes. I think he got a special blend at a smoke shop.

Not many people around here smoke any more thank god.
