Re: Real Iodine, by MH
google is not an authority, but a compilation of writings, from the scribbllings of children, to p 0 r n o g r a p h y, to scientific articles, to misinformation, to disinformation, and to some useful information.
I have yet to see a single article describing any quantitative
Iodine content of walnut, authored by anyone with any credibility.
As soon as you find one, put it up here. I am happy to learn and will readily change my mind if evidence exists.
Just because something has a brown color, doesn't mean it's excrement. Most dyestuffs do not contain iodine, and that includes the polycatechols, polyphenols and conjugated hydrocarbon chains in that walnut juice. Some claim it to contain iodine, but I haven't seen any proof anywhere, and look forward to it. People claim a lot of things without substantiation. MD's used to promote smoking cigarettes as an aid to digestion in medical journals as late as the 1950's.
I look forward to anyone putting up a paper on the
Iodine content of walnut. I've searched the topic exhaustively.
