Re: How long between fasts?

You've done very well auryn, no need to feel discouraged at all. 21 days is an awesome effort. :) I suggest that it is best to go the full recovery period of the 21 days eating as much raw food as you can before starting fasting again for any length of time. In my recent experience the start of each fast is far easier doing this and it is certainly safest to allow that recovery time I think. If you eat mostly raw food the whole recovery time you will get the full nutrient value AND water from each food absorbed into your system, so you will be very well prepared for your next fast. It may seem like a long time to wait now but remember you are also teaching your body to desire the right foods as well, rather than the cooked and processed foods it is used to.
It's impossible to tell how much or when detoxifying symptoms will reoccur in a future fast, but preparing well should make the transition from eating to fasting a lot easier, it certainly has for me. So you may well experience similar detox symptoms, but you won't have to get rid of the same toxins you did this last 21 days of course, they are gone forever.
I'm not sure about the new fast taking up where it left off. It may well do that, but it would take a few days before that process started. It takes at least a couple of days, and some say up to 5 or 6 for the body to really switch to fasting mode and it may take this long for your body to take things up from the last fast, so to speak. As I said, my experience of the first few days of subsequent fasts after refeeding properly for the required time have been very easy going.
