Re: Next day...remember Kalliope? (sp)
remember her excursions down the
Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) rabbit hole?
the way you describe you plating and condimenting tells me you are a great condiment aficionado. (I am as well) It also alerts me to a thought I often have.
A good dijon is one one my "must have" items, and Ive noted that "spice" or "spices"
is a common ingredient in most that I look at. The one I feel likely "addicted to"
( that is, I'm not quite as happy with others --AND it comes in a gorgeous reusable canning jar with rubber ring) I'm almost certain contains MSG. Can't think of the name right now, because I'm trying another that doesn't taste as good. Hmm. red flag.
I remember K.'s experiments with her brother and a plateful of after-dinner chocolates. He would always gravitate to the ones that tested for(or openly stated they contained MSG. If his hand moved to the non-msg chocolate, it would waver there--he unconscious of that--and then move to the MSG-loaded one.
as K said/discovered, you can't rely on what is revealed as ingredients--and
Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) is one big piece of that weight-gain/loss picture. ( I pity the folks who literally feel they are starving, since they are nutritionally, while they continue to crave and battle the *need* for more and more of their "favourite" foods...)
I think as we get older too, hormonally,
the
Mono-Sodium-Glutamat (Natrium Glutamat) really screws with the system--and we need way more mineral-rich vinegar
as well as that miracle anionic lemon. :)
