Re: Day 25 WF: Detox or Autointoxication?
They all sound like detox symptoms to me. Hopefully they won't stay with you till the end.
Are you getting plenty of rest? I know I'm the first to defend exercising but that is only when there is plenty of energy for it. It sounds like you could do with rest with all that going on! On the other hand if you have been resting a lot maybe a change of pace could help too. If you've been lying down or sitting a lot maybe a change of position will help, a short walk or a long shower. Or a relaxing bath can change things around inside and may give some relief too. Another thing is sunshine, that could help with your itching at least. If I have skin discomfort while fasting I always yearn for a bit of sun on it. The skin does handle a great deal of the detoxing while fasting, especially as the bowels are not usually working- the skin and lungs especially are doing amazing things to compensate! :)
Deep breathing could also help, the deeper you go literally the more toxins you breathe out. We usually only use a small percentage of our lung capacity so just sitting upright or lying down flat on your back and breathing deeply can improve really help things along as well. I have trained as a breath therapist and have experienced non fasting people actually breathing out things like old anaesthetics during a session. So leave your window open. :)
I would be interested to know how much water you are drinking and how you are feeling drinking it? During my recent fast I had some intestinal pain/cramps also and I have a feeling that it may have had something to do with the amount- too much maybe- of water I was drinking. Just a thought. But if you are not drinking too much water you are not putting any outside stress on your intestines or bowels so the discomfort is most likely a normal action of the fast. It would be nice to have a Fasting Friendly doctor handy to check things like that out with hey?
The nausea is normal and I've been told on here it is due to liver secretions into the stomach I think. My suggestion is to give into the nausea if possible and vomit it up. When I have done this there has been no burning sensation or anything like that, just a simple reflux and it's out and gone, mostly water and maybe some mucous or yellow bile.
Good luck achieving your goal, you've done great already!
Cheers,
Andrew.
