Re: Question about breaking fast-I have a similar Q

I would add raw nuts when you add the salads, or soon after depending on how you feel. But personally I might go longer than ten days after a forty day fast before adding anything not raw. I do not eat oils except when cooking my tofu or similar so they don't come into my fasting or recovering regime. And I'm a vegan so cannot comment on the fish either.
As I said in my earlier post though I believe it is best to stick to simple foods with your raw salads during the recovery period. In this I follow pretty strictly the natural hygiene or food combining rules, but even stricter than usual, and that seems to come very naturally after a fast.
As for special occasions, I don't see any problem with taking part in them and eating what you feel like so long as they don't fall during your recovery period. You can always have an all raw day the next day to help cleanse the body afterwards. So long as the diet is healthy normally a banquet here and there shouldn't hurt us too much. We aren't prisoners to healthy eating, it is a choice, a way of life, but not a religion and it's no sin to have take-away occasionally. ;)

Andrew.
