Strange symptom, must be iodine related

I don't remember anyone posting about smelling a strong smell from Iodine supplementation. But if anyone has can they please post so I can see if this is most likely a detox symptom. The last couple of days I have been smelling a strong hairspray or really bad smelling perfume smell. It lasted for a couple of hours the first night. My husband didn't smell anything. So I took my body temperature and for the 1st time in along time-my temp was normal 98.6, if that has anything to do with it. But I continue to smell it strongly yesterday as well as today. I feel like I just sprayed my hair full of hairspray which is gross, remembering those days of toxic chemicals we innocently indulged in. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
