I haven't tried pulling with Iodine since I only started with it very recently, but I have used a product called ipsab for years and it has Iodine in it. It works really well. Before I started pulling I had some difficulties with gum disease and if I used the ipsab it would clear it right up - also ended any pain from a toothache - I just recently noticed that it has Iodine - I was more focused on the prickly ash bark which is the other ingredient.
