Re: How many of you are allergic to gluten?
I've always been concerned with wheat/gluten ingredients. But you're right, it's almost remotely impossible to eat food without it these days. EVERYTHING has gluten and/or wheat. It's insane! I tried to do a diet of my own in the past that turned out to be a joke. I cut out dairy and use almond milk (home-made) and tried to make bread out of buckwheat, since buckwheat is wheat-gluten free. I couldn't handle it. The bread is impossible to make because it won't rise without gluten, and then someone suggested to use corn and make corn breads and chips, then I found out by researching that corn is BAD for the skin because it aggravates infections, plus it doesn't have any nutritious properties anyway! Ugh, food is so annoying. But I'm still going to find out how to cut out all gluten and wheat intake because I just know there is a link between that and acne.
If you do some research, buckwheat is actually extremely nutritious for the skin and body. You could use buckwheat groats to make cereal if you're a grain type of eater, like me. Or find a really good bread recipe. Almond milk from home is very cheap and easy to make too, if you need a good recipe to make it I'll be happy to post it.
