Re: Raw Food Diet Plan

Hello rawmonkey I have also read from Anne Wigmore and Gabriel Cousens but not from David Wolf.Ive seen a couple of vids of David and like the majority of what he has to say.The exception would be cacoa I believe it ultimatley does harm to the adrenals and liver just like coffee.I liked Concious Eating by Gabriel Cousens even though it was a very long winded read. But I guess I should have expected that from an M.D..A high power blender is great for making live food fast and easy.I use my vita prep 3 every day and on my days off 2-3 times.I started with a 2hp. peak unit and it worked just fine for me.The prices are becoming much better now that the compatition has increased in the high power models. The only thing I dont blend is bean sprouts and alfafa because they taste so strong. The same goes for algae, how do you cover up the taste in your protein drink? As far as sprouts without a growing medium I grow mung bean which is my favorite sweet green pea and alfalfa. These are high in protein and make a great sprout sandwich and there very easy to grow.Buying the seeds in bulk can keep the food costs down while keeping the quality high. When it comes to feeding plants there isnt much one can do during the initial stages of sprouting. The plant uptakes all its nutrients from the endosperm until a viable root system is established. There is a point where the plant starts to uptake from its roots but sprouting doesnt allow for much of an uptake window of opertunity. Then there is the option of osmoticaly feeding the plant again there is no real opertunity here as well.Kelp is a very very weak soil augment that would be better off eaten. In order for the roots to uptake the kelp nutrients they must first be broken down and made availiabe via soil organizms. In order to osmoticaly feed they must be disolved not suspended and absorbed through the leaf surfaces. As Micheal Bergonzi of the hippocratesgreenhouse.com says just grow em and eat em,keep it simple.Gotta love that,Micheal will answer questions about growing if you email him.He was very helpfull to me on the growing of sunflowers.I agree with your feelings on yoga, safety should be a priority.Happy sprouting and namaste.
