Re: O/T Abdominal Congestion, Perimenopause

According to your post, the bleeding at ovulation began before the kelp. I don't know where you heard that bleeding at ovulation is "normal." I believe it was a perinenopausal symptom, and not normal. Actually many women enter the perimenopausal stage before 40, especially when the reproductive area is a weak area, although periods may not actually stop until the mid 50's.

The rest of your post indicates you are making progress on the kelp and the cod liver oil. If it were me, I would continue on the same dosing as long as it is producing such good results. The bleeding you describe will probably follow down the road as another symptom to disappear. Having said that, I would address abdominal congestion and estrogen dominance. Your heavy bleeding with clotting indicates estrogen dominance, and obviously the kelp is addressing that. The increase of libido, even for a couple of days, indicates an increase in testosterone, or a leveling down of the estrogen so that the testosterone can work its miracles.

I have addressed abdominal congestion a couple of times on Curezoee. Read the posts and take what you need from them. Your situation, while not as dire as theirs, is important to you. The thread with nicolenyc is interesting because she stopped her heavy bleeding with high doses of cod liver oil, and you have already seen that cod liver oil has helped you. Perhaps if you add in a few other little things, you may see more progress.

Vitamin E is important in balancing hormones. Another thing I think is super important is the reduction/elimination of trans fats. I think we throw off our hormones by eating deep fried foods, chips, fried eggs and bacon, etc. Those fats need to be replaced with good fats.

Good luck to you. Please post your results.
