Re: Ozone and Apico

1.  Most apicoectomies are done after a root canal.  Some are done on those who do not have root canals.  Either way, there are damaged roots and the tooth will not survive.  If you have a root canal, the tooth is dead already.  Cleaning infection out of root canals is a temporary fix and doesn't treat the cause.  I had a root-canaled tooth cleaned 3 times and so did my dad.  They continued to get infected.  You cannot stop the anaerobic infection present in all root canaled teeth. And, how well one is able to cope with them is dependent upon one's individual immune system.

2.  I was making the poster aware of the mercury issue in apicoectomies and root canals, because it was done and there are many who had it done and they may need this information.  As far as infection, all root canals are infected:  http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=896880Resilon does not work.  "Ask an endodontist which they use."  I would not ask a Mainstream Endodontist anything about a root canal.  If I have questions like that, I ask Hal Huggins:

Hal,

I am getting people saying Epiphany with Resilon is good to put in root canals and it seals all the roots. can you please address this? do you have any write-ups on this product?

His response:

Write-ups will be in the form of one giant expose! They are looking at the wrong tree to “bark up.” The problem is the infected periodontal ligament on the OUTSIDE of the tooth. Sealing the pulp chamber does not effect the dentinal tubules adjacent to the periodontal ligament- nor the infected ligament itself.

3.  "To blindly tell people to extract their teeth because root canal treatment is harmful to them is negligent and presenting only your opinion."  First you have to assess whether they even need a root canal, because there are many who come to us who do not.  The Dentists here are well-trained and if a person has inflamation they are not going to pull the tooth.  Biologic Dentists try to save teeth.  Root canals are not saving a tooth, they are saving a dead tooth, and that is harmful to health.  I have been a Biologic Dental Consultant for over 5 years, so my opinions are not done blindly presented.  I had 5 root canals myself and we have had to pull out thousands of them because they are dead and eating away the jawbone from anaerobic infection.  I recommend the Root Canal Cover-Up by George Meinig.  I have spoken to George.  He is very intelligent.  http://www.amazon.com/Root-Canal-Cover-Up-George-Meinig/dp/0945196199

4.   "I treat people on a daily basis."  Well, so do we.  But, you are a Mainstream Dentist and you are the reason Biologic Dentists exist.  We see all your patients, eventually.

5.  "Do you genuinely feel that the dental community is doing this purely for financial gain?"  No.  I am one of those who feel that most Dentists do root canals, cause cavitations, use mercury, do apicoectomies and use un-biologic materials because they are simply uneducated and misinformed.  A few do it for money, but I'll tell you what, when patients find out the truth, they often scream it is about the money.

6.  "We (the endodontic community) have spent many years of our lives studying and practicing this skill as well as the fact weI have assumed the responsibility of taking care of someone's health."  Biologic Dentists have expenses too and they take care of people's health.  Just because Mainstream Doctors do a procedure, doesn't mean it is healthy.
