According to Hira Ratan Manek (HRM) if you sungaze for 9 months (44 minutes), you absorb enough solar energy to last a lifetime. The pineal gland stores the sunlight. Then when you walk barefoot on the grass the energy gets circulated (makes a circuit). That's why it's important to walk barefoot on grass after you sungaze.
After your 44 minutes you don't have to sungaze anymore, just walk 45 minutes barefoot on the grass every day and you release all of the sun's stored energy.
Of course not everyone follows HRM's method, and different people have different results.
I am up to 11 minutes 30 seconds and I love it. I follow the HRM method strictly.
