      I have the multizap from Essence instruments (website no longer valid) and it still works just fine. However, it has the handheld copper tubes and I'm looking at the convenience of the terminator style.

        I have a tens machine (and a zapper), and have been seeking info on the useability of the tens machine as a zapper. I seem to extract only bits and pieces of reasons why or why not it would work as a zapper. The response you got about the tens not affecting the body or pathogines seemed off to me because the tens machine can cause the body muscles to actually jump where the zapper cannot- at least visually.   First, a little blasphemy: The wire wrap socket method is not a good way to go with this, especially if you are a novice. It is difficult to do, very difficult to troubleshoot, unreliable, etc. OK, it sucks.
  
  Now, the advice: Surf the web and find an instructions page that uses a proto-board (wireless breadboard). This is a white plastic thing about the size of a playing card and 1/2" thick, with a sea of socket rows. Groups of the socket locations are connected internally. It does not require any soldering or other connecting techniques. Parts are pushed into the board (in the right places), and the board makes the connections. There used to be a site with a video showing everything, but of course I don't have a link.
  
  For parts, try Mouser. Solid electronic components distributor, started out as a hobby/surplus trader, grew up into the big time. They still have no minimum quantities, so you can buy a single resistor if that is all you want. I'm sure they still sell wire wrap sockets, but that way lies despair.
