Hi Scarlet, well I've just begun the digestion journey. After going to so many practitioners in an effort to find out why I have gallstones. I'm almost underweight (not quite), was a vegetarian for years and have never had or craved a fatty diet and no-one else in my family has g/stone problems . I have finally put 2 and 2 together and worked out it's my digestion. The doctor I went to for my hormone imbalance tried to say I wasn't eating enough animal fats - I was but now I have realised they are going straight through me. In Ayurveda, they say to look at your tongue (and scrape it) first thing when you get up in the morning. If there are indents of your teeth around the edges then you are not absorbing nutrition from your food properly - well I almost always have this.
So, how to improve it? I would like to try Dr Clark's way of food-grade HCL but I can only find the gardening kind in black plastic POISON bottles here in Australia. So I have started taking Hydrozyme, a digestive enzyme with each meal. Interestingly, there are no indents around my tongue at the moment so maybe it's working. I'm also trying to chew more and eating live yoghurt and a superfood with heaps of beneficial bacteria in it.
Any other tips on improving digestion appreciated!
Thanks for asking Scarlet, sorry I don't have a lot of answers!
