Dear Sylvia,
No carrying a.n.y.t.h.i.n.g over 5 pounds!
And do NOT peel potatoes! Or do anything about preparing meals, or with your arms up!
Do NOT vacuum!
Do NOT go for car rides...even the cushiest car feels tiny bumps in the road.
Leave, and go home to bed, as early as you feel like it...maybe sooner.
Lie back on pillows and tell others what you want done. And do this for far longer than you think is necessary.
You are going to feel well and strong by degrees, and be mistaken at what you are ready for.
Sheer gravity is taxing at this time...please believe me.
I got myself a nice embroidery to do, one in a square frame. I laid back on pillows and rested the frame on my ribs. That's the only thing that saved me from utter boredom.
You may also go through emotional ups and downs. Warn everyone within shouting distance.
Pamper Sylvia.
You'll be back to your good self before long, but you may need to wait longer than you expect. That's okay. Take your time.
You'll be glad you did.
My very best,
Fledgling
