Hi Grz,
Your post: We have discussed here, and in debate forums debated, the issue of NPN in foods. Boron, found in kelp is extremely active. In many readings it is absorbed, utilized and excreted through urine and feces rather rapidly in the system, the body holding onto little.
Nitrogen fertilizers deplete boron in soils; when soil is deficient in boron, it is advised not to use fertilizers OR, to fertilize with boron... boron seems to stimulate the nitrogen cycle, specifically nitrogen fixation.
Puts another wrinkle in the nitrogen/NPN discussion/debate.
In ensuring adequate, or even greater than needed levels of boron, it appears to me that the boron would help in reducing the nitrogen load on an individual. Perhaps this is one reason why I had such great success using so much kelp... as much as 3 rounded tablespoonful a day at one point. I am now at 1.5 tablespoonful
Answer: Just remember that everything reacts against everything else involved in the body and that for things to function properly the body must have Live Carbons attached to the single elements, or there may arise many Different problems ?
Boron by it's self may Kill a person, for it is used as ant killer bait in the form of boric acid !
As usual not everything may be as it may first seem to be !
Kelp may provide a Great many Different Benefits that single elements may "Never" be able to accomplish because Kelp is made with Live Carbons tying everything else together !
Snile Tis your choice.
