I am pretty darned new to all this and am trying to find the best way to go - I always hear everyone talk about iodine being so important and just wonder why not get it from eating seaweed and good salt like the one you have to offer? You said that there is not enough iodine in seaweed? I do like to get my nutrition from food if possible (pills make me gag) and am wondering if I buy my produce here in Northern CA where I hear that the soil on the organic small farms is still in good shape, that I might get sufficient iodine and other nutrients from that? We are growing some of our own produce in our little garden but certainly not enough. We add a lot of nutrients to our soil and we are going to start a compost as soon as we are both over our respective illnesses here and can get back to work. I don't know if I would want to try that lugols since you say that it is not so great.
I'm trying to absorb a whole lot of information at once here and I'm pretty ignorant, although I have always believed that a raw food diet is the healthy way to go and that sugar is the worst thing you can consume. (that doesn't mean I haven't consumed my share.) I'm reading book 1 among other things. I have just now gone on a raw food vegetarian diet the last 3 weeks, since I have been laid up with this really severe sciatic problem which is now about halfway better with the help of a chiropractor. I have given up meat, wine (I live in wine country and i love a good wine with dinner) no drugs of any kind. Fruits - veggies - nuts - and seeds and an egg for protein once in a while and absolutely nothing packaged and processed and no grains. Certainly no sugar.
I'm no spring chicken - 62yr.female and my diet has been better and worse over the years but have always tried to eat fresh food (haven't always been real good though) I've used a lot of cleaning chemicals over the years too. I had a little house cleaning and gardening business for 25 years. I think some of the materials I used as an artist may have been pretty toxic as well. I was very active before I came down with planter fascitis from flat feet and I need to get better so I can get back to getting enough exercise.
As soon as I get paid for my last job I want to purchase some of your cleansing herbs - a kidney cleanse, liver flush (I don't have a gall bladder unfortunately any longer and I assume I need liver cleanses badly) and a parasite cleanse. I may not need a colon cleanse because I have no problem with constipation and go several times a day and I did one about 6 months ago but if you think I should, I will do it. ...and what else do you think?
Later I want to try some juice fasting. Or am i supposed to start with that?
I sent this in an email a while back, but you probably get so many emails....
My question is, do I do all this at the same time or one at a time? And do I eat normally while doing it?
I wish I would get paid already so I can begin. I've had to spend a lot at the chiropractor and I have no insurance....and I haven't been able to work for the last 3 weeks either so that cuts my finances down.
One more thing - Someone told me that it is not good to eat chard and some of the other veggies without lightly steaming them because of some toxins they contain - is this true mh? I have lots of chard in my garden because it keeps on going all the time summer ans winter and I love it.
Thanks for any advice you can give me. I hope this is not too much stuff to throw at you all at once. Just want to get the procedure and timing correct.
