been doin a little more checking. this
Iodine thing continues to make no sense.
iodine replaces anhydrous ammonia in the meth recipe. the ammonia recipe cuts the time of making it down. there are huge tanks of this ammmonia all over the country. it is used in agriculture. on the other hand, anhydrous ammonia stinks to high heaven. it is the catpiss smell everyone complains about when meth cookers are in the neighborhood.
so out in the country, where no one can smell it and tanks of this ammonia are sitting around, who needs iodine. the
Iodine makes it easier for escaping detection in cities. so this move is in no way going to cut production domestically, but it will drive manufacturers into rural settings. and for the city dwellers, out of sight, out of mind.
you see, they want people on meth. it makes people more productive, truck drivers can go longer, factory workers dont get as bored, etc. it is not much different than the stuff they give kids all the time - ritalin and other amphetamines.
the dea is as big a joke as the other agencies. they must need more funding so they need to show complaints are down in the cities. congress will buy anything. thats how waco happened. ATF was about to get cut big time - lack of bootleggers, people too scared to own firearms, and tobacco sales keep going down. they were going to make an example of that gunshow junkie koresh.
