Thank you! The protocol I'm using was developed for me by a ND ... I will ask her about whether or not it is acidic next time I see her. I wanted to talk to her about PH issues anyway. I guess my main disconnect on the PH testing is that I wasn't getting how my saliva and urine tested at the same time could be different.
My candida is very bad ... especially in my bladder, where it was introduced by a foley catheter in December. We only just found out that's what it was about three weeks ago ... before that I was undergoing tons of tests. Anyway, since I was running to the ladies room 20+ times per day, I imagine that is why my ND and MD/ID-specialist focused on that issue primarily.
Here is my protocol ... first four are from ND and last from ID specialist.
1. Candida Reduction Herbal Blend (2x daily)
(contains: goldenseal, garlic, pau d'arco, oregon grape powder, barberry powder, cinnamon powder, clove powder, licorice powder, orange powder, peppermint powder, thyme powder)
2. Probiotics (2x daily)
(containing acidophilus, fructooligosaccharides, and bifidobacterium bifidum)
3. Candidase (2x daily)
(plant based enzymes for reduction of yeast overgrowth)
4. Zymex by Standard Process (3x daily)
(for candida reduction and gut lining health)
5. Diflucan (1x daily)
I don't drink or smoke so those things aren't an issue ... she asked me to remove caffine, which I did about two months ago. I avoid sugar and starch, as per the basic candida diet. I've also increased fiber intake. I don't know what information can be gleaned from the above with regard to why my tests are showing up as they are. I will definitely bring it up to ND when I go next.
Cheers! :)
