Im a 24 male who is sexually active, and im worndering if i have an STD or if this is a common thing. Basicly i have been sexually active more than usual the last week or so, but i noticed that on the shaft of my penis i have what look to be small hair follicles which have always been there, I have noticed that since i have been more sexually active I have seen that the hair follicles are slightly red and just a bit raised. Is this a common thing to expect after sexual intercourse or should i be worried. They dont hurt just noticed that they seem a little red. any help would be great

This is a reply to # 89,069could you be allergic to the condoms, spermicide, lubrication...that you are using? did you use any new soaps, body wash, detergent, fabric softener?
Just a general rule, smelly fragrant soaps are highly allergic and fabric softeners are contaminated with heavy metals such as mercury.
anyway, i hope that something makes sense here, maybe I've given you a clue.

so you think that it could be maybe something that im washing with or something of that sort? Im not noticing that they are getting any worse or anything. I just wanted to see if i should be concerened. This is a reply to # 89,076Yes, it sounds like " pitta heat" in the system. This is an ayurvedic term. Stress hormones can be toxic and come out your skin. also coffee, cigarettes, soda, artifical foods.....all that can come out a sensitive patch of skin.
