(Long time lurker around these parts, have posted only a few times before on some of the other forums.) I'll be officially starting on June 3rd. I would have liked to have started today, to give myself the whole weekend at the beginning, but extenuating circumstances (back to back concerts and an anniversary dinner) made Sunday more do-able.
I've been reading up on the Master-Cleanse
like crazy these past few weeks. I first heard about it a few years ago, back when I was doing research for the juice fast I did then. I've been so excited to get started - I keep remembering that clean and extremely lucid feeling I had when I did the juice fast and am anxious to feel internally clean again.
My initial goal is 14 days, though I would really like to go for 21 (for some reason that number just resonates more with me). It's unbelievable how many social activities revolve around food though, which can make doing a long fast somewhat difficult. Father's Day and dad's birthday are coming up this month, and then soon after finishing, 4th of July will hit. Eating is just so much more socially acceptable. But I'm fasting for ME, not for anyone else, which I will just have to keep reminding myself.
So I will be joining you all the day after tomorrow!
