From personal experience I've noticed the following:
1) eating late at night will definitely result in a puffy face in the morning
2) unknown food allergies (if you have candida your allergies will all be carbohydrates based)
Ok, I'll just make it really short. When I went on raw vegetables diet for 5 days my skin became beautiful and all of a sudden I noticed I no longer had puffy eyes in the morning, they actually got a bright sparkle that even my husband noticed. If you want to do this experiment you won't regret it. However if this doesn't help then I would check out the kidney situation. But it really should, try it!
