Hi Everyone
I have been reading some of the stories and posts on this site and I decided it was time to ask some questions.
I have been experiencing bad abdominal pain for some time now, probably the best part of the last year. Chronic indigestion and chest pain. I have been to a few different doctors and they don't seem to be helpful. My mother tells me that I have gallstones. She, along with my aunt and grandmother, has had her gallbladder removed. I told my doctor what my mother had said and she dismissed it. "they're all female, and your male, they're old, your not." My mother was diagnosed when she was quite young. The doctor was quite rude, she seemed offended that I might question her authority. "I've been diagnosing
Gallstones for 30 years" she said. She said I'm constipated. Now, I have increased my fibre intake over recent months, I have regular movements and I still have chronic RUQ pain. My mother still thinks I have
Gallstones and I have an ultrasound appointment on the 24th Sept for "hypochondrial RUQ pain."
My main reason for this post is just to tell a bit about my story to find out if there are any others out there who might give me some advice.
Thanks
