Just reading about the side effects kept me away from antidepressants. I would suggest you read the book Sugar Blues before you take that route.

Most people will tell you that since both anti-depressants and candida affect the liver, it is not good to take them simultaneously. Nevertheless, I did get my candida overgrowth under control several years ago while on Zoloft. I am since off of the Zoloft, but it was not an easy road. I had to very gradually wean off and experienced a lot of side effects once I discontinued it. Candida seems to be associated with depression, so if you get the candida under control the Depression might subside as well.
