Julie,
I meant to mention to you I had the same type symptoms (not the right hip thing) but the left knee, the shoulder and weirdly my left thumb. I realized way too late they were symptoms of kidney overload, but since I have recognized them when they come and immediately up the salt water and c I have not had a return of them other than a twinge. I do not have fibro or anything like that. I first noticed the lessening of these symptoms when I started oil pulling, they disappeared altogether along with a carpal tunnel type situation in my arm, which seems to indicate to me it was toxic overload around the joints of those areas. Then they returned out of the blue six months later when I started taking high doses of kelp with added iodine. I stopped taking it thinking I had 'OD'd' when in reality it was just a detox reaction. As soon as I read on this forum about that I ordered some lugols and sure enough in the first week or so I felt twinges of the same return, until I started doing the salt and c. So I would not necessarily be worried about it being a return of fibro symptoms, unless of course you consider the symptoms themselves to be an indication of toxic overload (my guess is that is exactly what they are).

Ha, your workday freakshow sounds like mine.
I have not had any kind of carpal tunnel thing since the second day I OP'd - and it was more this weird rope from elbow to wrist rather than the wrist itself. I was very excited about that when it left. No other problems, but a year or so ago the knee thing was very bad when I was driving 5-6 hours every day. The op really helped with that and I had no return of it until I started supplementing with kelp and iodine. Now there is a bingo light that goes on if I get a twinge anywhere and I know it is time to up the detox protocol. I have not had anything bad since using the lugol's, but I am being careful about it. I have really been able to increase my exercise which I think has helped a lot with detox. It is terrible when you feel too sore to do it, I am sorry you are suffering with it.
Sounds like you are doing tons to help move things out, if you were fairly chronic with it at one time it will probably take some time to make a graceful exit. I never had any kind of swelling or anything. Are those herbs you take for kidney support or liver or both? Have you tried the detox footpads? Those helped a lot with my knee pain when I had it...I wore them at night and would be much better in the morning. I think they also help increase circulation through the lymph systems to get the gunk out. You might try them out, http://www.healthmarvels.net.
You can order a small order to see if you like them. I think the gold ones are best.
Hope you feel better.
Other things that might help if you are so overloaded you cannot cope:
epsom salt baths
detox foot pads
kidney tea (cheap banaba (I think that is the name) tea on ebay from Thailand)
oil pulling (if you are not already doing this)
There is also a Daily Detox tea that is good when you want to give your system an extra push.
Anything to help flush the gunk out, the quicker the better. If you get to feeling too bad you can always ease back for a few days and resume when you feel better or ease on down to a maintenance dose for a week or so. If you have so much coming out your system cannot properly dispose of it you are probably better off getting the channels cleared and then resuming (my opinion).
