Hi Alison,
I keep meaning to try to find my glass thermometer which I used to use
to take my temperature when I was doing Armour thyroid medication back
in the late nineties, but it's in a rented storage and I keep forgetting
to go get it on the weekends. Great that the
Iodine has helped to raise your
temperature! I do not believe I have Lyme disease as, when I was seeing
Dr. F. (a chiropractor) who gave me the magnetic pad which he designed
well, not gave, I bought it!), if he had found Lyme he would have
told me. He has numerous pts with Lyme. Dr. F. uses his right brain
as well as his left
to diagnose; that is to say, he can "remote view" or see inside a person
by means of a muscle testing system he has. He is always right-on. Most
recently over the phone he said that he that I had some poisoning from
heavy metals (he did not specify which ones) and also my lymphatic system
was backed up. This was around 7 to 8 weeks ago or so. When I used to
have office visits back in '02 to '05, he
told me my thyroid was way out of whack (which I already knew when I came
to him but was powerless to do anything about), and also said that I had
something that was a lot like fibromyalgia. I don't have the type of FM
that manifests as a low immune and you get "sick" all the time, with
swollen glands, low-grade fevers, and the like. I have the "tired all the
time" and stiff muscles and tendons/ligaments (and now painful joints, which
is new for me) symptoms. My symptoms too have flared since I started with
iodine; first I had a godawful rash that took 2 months for me to get over,
picture the worst poison oak case you can imagine and multiply it by
about 1000--it was keeping me up at night itching my skin off. That is
totally gone now. Now, since around 1st week of March, I have had a swollen,
painful left knee, and not long afterward, my left thumb started hanging
up (just when I awake in the middle of the night or the morning) and other
joints--neck particularly, but recently, my right wrist has been bothering
me, when using it in certain motions, sort of like what I imagine RSI must
feel like), and I am certain it has to be the
Iodine bringing this on,
it cannot be coincidence. Plus there is the lethargy and almost complete
lack of energy, lack of strength, and a feeling of depression, don't know
what else to call it, that I have noticed is concomitant. I sure hope I
get over this in a hurry. Hope you get over your symptoms soon too! Best
of luck and success in this healing journey. Should be an uh, interesting
year!
