From your link , the reasons for Hypothyroidism:
It’s strongly proposed that millions of individuals develop hypothyroidism due to the lack of adequate iodine intake, which in turn is due to soil depletion and lack of iodine in our diet. Since iodine is necessary in the synthesis, storage and secretion of thyroid hormones, a deficiency of iodine can result in hypothyroidism.
On the opposite side of the coin of insufficient iodine is taking too much from iodine-containing herbs such as kelp, bladderwrack, or bugleweed can increase your risk for hypothyroidism. Many multivitamins, glandular support formulas and combination products contain these supplements.
Your comment about your problem: The point is that while doing the alkalizing drink with one tablespoon of kelp, and some alkalizing baths, --------------my ph stayed at 7 or higher but my thyroid stopped working.------------------ I still do the alkalizing drink and baths but without the kelp.
Answer: I am guessing you would like to understand this puzzle ?
Let us consider a few ideas first : It is established that Hypothyroidism is Caused because of a Lack of Iodine, which the Thyroid Gland needs to be able to do it's job !
So, this means that the Thyroid Gland "MUST" have some "Electro-magnetic Energy Released from Iodine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What does this mean ?
This may mean that we then need to consider how the Electro-magnetic Energy may be Caused to be Released in the first place, for if we are "NOT" able to supply our body with a Release of this Electro-magnetic Energy, then the Thyroid is "NOT" going to get any Electro-magnetic Energy from Iodine !
How do we Create the Release of Electro-magnetic Energy from Iodine ?
Could it be that we need certain Acids to react against the Iodine, which is in an Alkaline form of the kelp ?
In other words, if we take too much kelp in ratio to the amount of Digestive Acids we may have, then the Digestive system may "NOT" be able to Cause a Release of the needed Electro-magnetic Energy from the Iodine in the Kelp, because of the Alkaline condition of the Kelp !
Now let us look at what this Nutri-meds bovine thyroid product is : Nutritionally, --------------the thyroid requires tyrosine, iodine and selenium together with vitamin and mineral co-factors.------------------------ This may be obtained in Nutri Ltd’s Thyro-complex, for example.
Where thyroid glandular supplementation is needed, Nutri thyroid – one to four daily is very helpful.
Nutri-meds, an American site (http://www.nutri-meds.com), provides the same formula, that is, 130mgs of extract, and you can choose whether the source is bovine or porcine.
Answer: As one may see in the above look at what "YOU" are getting, "WE" may see that "YOU" are getting Iodine along with other Vitamins and Alkaline Minerals in a Cultured product, which may mean that it is in a form of Released Electro-magnetic Energy, which the Thyroid may utilize!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Because the product is just Ground up Animal thyroid Tissue, which by the way contains Iodine with the other Alkaline Minerals in it , but in an already Released form !
Now , if we back up a little bit and consider what you also made comment about your pH : my ph stayed at 7 or higher but my thyroid stopped working.
Answer: Could it be possible that your pH of your Digestive system was too high , thus Causing Poor Digestion, thus Causing a Lack of enough Digestive Acids needed to Cause a Release of the needed Iodine bound with Alkaline Minerals ?
Because as one may see, by the above product "YOU" are taking, that it is supplying your body with the Iodine , which you were not getting the Release of from taking the Kelp along with the Alkalizing Drink, and it may be because "YOUR" Digestive system was not getting enough Natural Acids to Cause the Release of Iodine and additional Alkaline Minerals ?
As I have suggested before, not everything may be as it may first seem to be !
And when we increase our intake of Alkaline Minerals, which includes Kelp, that we "MUST" increase the amount of Lemon Juice or ACV or Epsom Salt, so as to provide enough weak Acids to Cause the Release of the Electro-magnetic Energy from the additional Alkaline Minerals we choose to take !
So, Kelp may Cause the pH to raise too much in the Digestive system, so as to cause the Lack of Release of the needed iodine bound with the needed Alkaline Minerals !
And to Solve this problem, one may just take a small amount of additional weak Acids such as extra Lemon Juice or ACV to cause the needed release of the needed Electro-magnetic Energy of the Iodine from the Kelp !
Or if one has a high pH because of proteins and a Lack of Calcium, then one may increase the Calcium and in the process drop ones pH by Causeing the Protein Isotope to change to the Acidic form !
The problem is "ALL" about the Acid Alkaline pH Balancing principles, which control everything in the entire Universe !
As usual not everything may be as it may first seem to be, and this is no different !
So, to answer your question in a Simple manner as to if Kelp may Cause Hypothyroidism: Yes, it may, "IF" the Digestive Acids are not strong enough , thus allowing the pH to raise too High in the Digestive system from the increase of Kelp, thus causing a Lack of proper Release of needed Electro-magnetic Energy , thus the body is not able to utilize enough of the Iodine in the Kelp !
But, in this case, it may Not be from TOO Much Iodine from the Kelp, but Really just a shortage of needed Iodine, because the pH became too high in the Digestive system to allow for the release of Electro-magnetic Energy from the Iodine !!
Smile Tis your choice.
