Hi Sophie,
It seems we suffer from similar hypothyroid symptoms. I too have had
the cold hands and feet syndrome for more years than I can remember
not having had them, and a lot of other things too; low basal temp (I
seem to have misplaced my glass thermometer so haven't been able to
take my temp of late, but it's something I used to do back in the
late '80s and '90s), difficulty sweating, I can't tolerate either cold
or heat, thin and thinning hair, brittle fingernails (one just broke
today so it's a sign I need a whole lot more
Iodine to become
sufficient, but I already knew that), on and on it goes.Oh, did Imention depression? Ha! I could write a book about that--huge volume.
Then there was the constipation that never responded to anything I
did, till I changed my diet to mostly raw (almost entirely fiber) and
no wheat or refined
Sugar or dairy. That helped a great deal. Areyou
experiencing any benefits from
Iodine supplementation yet, or is it
too early to tell? The first thing I noticed was my hair stopped
falling out when I shampooed. That happened almost right away. I
used to think if it kept on happening that I would be left with
nothing!
You may be too hot on the beach in CR, if you're anything like me! But it will
be a welcome change, I'm sure, from the crapola weather you've been
getting in the NE lately. I know cuz my family all live there.
You're gonna have a great time, I just know
it! Don't forget your shorts and tank tops, bathing suit(s) and
beach towel! I sure could use some of that right about now--we have
been freezing today here in Central CA, it got to 51 today, about 12-15
degrees colder than normal. Brrrr! Muy buen viaje!
