If you have a red spot from a recent outbreak that is called a macule. You can't really do much to speed the fading of a macule as it is the last stage of an
Acne lesion and will heal on its own schedule. On average it takes at least six months to lighten completely.
Two things you can do are: 1. Wear sunscreen in the form of a mineral makeup(I prefer GloMinerals because it has Vit. C, A, K, E and Green Tea Extract to soothe). The makeup will help cover your skin without irritating and it is a natural sunscreen that will reflect light therefore making your lesion less noticeable. 2. Don't pick at your skin. This is so simple but most people don't follow this advice. Once you pick, squeeze, etc. you are causing bacteria to spread not only on the surface of the skin but it travels in the lower dermal layers as well causing even more acne. Don't pick please.
If you get an
Acne lesion massage the area. Make sure your skin is clean and your hands are clean. Use coconut oil and massage. This brings blood carrying nutrients and white blood cells, which fight infection, to the area. It also stimulates the lymph to carry off toxins. The body knows how to heal itself. When we start messing with our skin, we get in the way of that healing process!
