...it seems to me like only 'the guys' are taking Iodine baths (???), and 'we gals' keep asking, "does this stain the bathtub". Even though this may have been answered, I haven't seen the answer.

PLEASE tell us...what happens to a white bathtub when you add an ounce of Lugol's to the water? Does it stain? or is it dilute enough to not have an effect.

I have an 'ancient' bathtub that is full of deep scratches; scrubbing it clean takes SEVERAL hours. Although I'm about to burst for want of an 'iodine bath', I'd be pretty deflated if it took me 4-5 hours to scrub it 'clean'.

I know, I know, Iodine IS the ultimate clean (and generally this ole hippie gal goes with 'logic' and not 'social peer pressure'). However, my mother is now visiting 'most every day, and she'd be totally crushed (and riddled with guilt) if she thought she raised a daughter that couldn't keep a bathroom clean!
