Well, they were abnormal enough to have parted company with their owners!
And they did show a relatively normal liver...no lumps, and a much better color.
Someone phoned, so the sound was turned off. The segment I only saw seemed to be of dis-eased livers. I have no idea how they got that way...or if that was why they were 'out'.
For all I know, the folks actually died from a head injury inflicted by a jealous lover.
They sure didn't look as though there would be much function left...and I'd guess that all possible forms of 'toxins' and 'invaders' hadn't had much chance to be evacuated.
In fact, I'm developing a theory that somehow it is some kind of a 'drying' action on bile that gibbles the needed flow through the duct and the tiny 'nipple' that must regulate both pancreatic fluids and bile.
The way the ducts join, in the duodenum, with the 'Sphincter of Oddi' muscle wrapped around the two ducts, together, pressure is put on one by any obstruction in the other duct. And this is just to add the JUICES that digest the masses of food passing by in the duodenum, on their way to the small intestine.
Best to take care what and how much we eat, I think, as well as to study the order in which we eat them.

Living food must be important.
Exercise and the time we take for meals must be a part of good health practices, too.
There is one 'mechanical' function called the 'Mixed Motor Complex' to move any leftover big pieces that may be left in the stomach. This works every two hours, unless interupted by eating. Thank goodness it is there!
Hope this helps.
