Starry,
I had 6
Amalgam filling I had had since adolescence and in 2005, I had an old crown replaced with a gold one. It did not take long for me to become very ill. I began having extreme sensitivity cosmetics and hair products especially to mascara (which I have come to know can contain some mercury derivative as a presevative) and also boils on my cheeks and behind my ears. I also had oral thrush. My lymph glands were swelling and my eyes were very dry I was experiencing "blurry vision" especially at night. I have always had 20/20 vision and I even went to an eye doctor and got glasses which did not cure the blurry vision. I was also having this twitching thing happening with both of my eyes and suffering from extreme fatigue and mood swings. The littlest thing would set my adrenaline off and I could feel the nasty chemicals surge in my body. It was quite scary really.
This must have started within 2 months of having the gold placed. It took me a while to figure out what was going on and I had no idea it was the mercury and gold. Finally I got hold of some info on mercury toxicity and after reading the symptoms, I knew this was what I had. I had the mercury fillings removed and almost immediately the blurry vision and eye twitching stopped as well as the mood swings. I also changed the crown which was only in my mouth about 8 months. Imagine that when it was removed, the gold was already all corroded and putting off a negative charge, (gold is usually positive). there is no doubt it was reasting with the mercury. Soon after their removal, I began chelation therapy which was VERY hard on my body. If I could redo it, I would forego the chelation and detox more slowly. That period was the hardest because I think my minerals were exhausted and I spent many days so fatigued, I could function normally, etc. This is also when the yeast finally took hold of my gut and life, if it was normal before?, was turned on its ear. I was exhausted all the time and couldn't eat hardly anything. I then decided to have my cavitations cleaned out because it seemed that something was still not right. that was in Feb of 06. Thankfully the last 6 months have been much better and my energy levels are back up to about normal. My yeast is under control now but not gone. It took me a good nine months on the strict anti-candida diet to get this far and foar about the last 4 months, I have been able to add more variety to my diet.
I am almost out of the woods but not quite because my new dentist and I suspect that I am reacting to the composite material used to replace the amalgams. I have strange irritation on my gums and my face in proximity to where I have the fillings. He is not the one who placed these composites and I did not have the bio-compatiblity testing prior to getting them. He is now consulting with specialists to see whet we should try to use to replace these composites.
My recommendation to you is to research all of the dental connections to health and then if you believe this could be your problem, find a biologic dentist who is a member or the IAOMT to do the dental work. Get it done the right way the first time. I didn't and now am paying for it. It is most likely you will not heal until you get rid of the mercury.
Best of luck and healing to you.
