Probably. When I mow my lawn, the grass clippings are natural and organic, provided I didn't spray my yard with pesticides.
To the extent that the ocean is not polluted, then eating seaweed is fine. I never much had a desire to grab a handful of seaweed and eat it myself, but, to each his own.
I'm not convinced that the oceans are clean. Evidence seems to point otherwise. I read last week that there was an oil tanker leaking off the British coast somewhere. fish are known to accumulate mercury from the oceans. Given a choice, I personally prefer a purified form of the active ingredient, as opposed to ingesting an unknown. If you are after honey, you don't have to eat the whole tree, or the beehive itself, even though both the tree and the hive may be "organic".
