OP'd this morning. I used sunflower oil, as that's all I have in at present that would be suitable.

I took one tablespoon, and understand that you keep swishing until it goes white and thin. This took less than five minutes. So, I did another tablespoonful, which again, took about four minutes. So I spit it out and rinsed my mouth as I understand you are meant to.

Im just wondering if I have done it correctly. I was given to understand that one should OP for around 20 minutes, or until it goes thin and white. So, as it did the latter in approx 4 minutes on both occasions, have I either

1. used the wrong kind of oil
2. got a particularly toxic system that turned the oil thin and white in such a short time (I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case), or
3. have I just done it completely wrong, and should have continued for the full twenty minutes even if it had gone thin and white?
