im currently taking a cumulative drug(accutane) and am wondering if Bowel Cleanses like enemas effect the absorbtion of it. appreciate any answers :). as well as that i am wondering what i can do to increase my absorbtion, i am already taking primal defense religiously.

To sum it up, I am not a fan of accutane. I believe it can cause serious harm in some people.

If the medication is absorbed in the upper digestive track then it would not be affected by enemas. However if it is absorbed in the large intestines then enemas would interfere with its efficacy.

thank you propaul. the medicine im taking is accutane, and i know it seems like a complete oxymoron but i still believe in good health and proper elimination, which im afraid leads me to get further flamed on these forums. so do you know if it is digested in the larger or smaller intestine? im tried searching for my own answers but its difficult.- Re: do enemas condradict the absorpt... propaul

I did a quick lookup on accutane and found all the side effects it has. But nowhere did it mention how this drug works. It will take a lot of time to research this and unfortunately I just had a pacemaker implanted in me. My energy level is not what it used to be. So I will need more time to do this research.
Reading between the lines I understand that this drug seems to be absorbed by various organs. But nothing very clear was explained....
I will try to get some info by this time next week.
