I go with what I can get, what day it is, and what I am up to. If I'm home, I juice. If I KNOW ahead of time, I just juice right before I go, guzzle it down, and then don't need anything till I get back. If I didn't prepare and I am caught out of doors...I usually go for water. But in the past, I have bought the occasional juice. It's pasteurized...so you don't get the live enzyme effect...but they used to hit the spot if I was out for a couple of hours.
I've been scanning through all the new posts...lol. I swear we all think the Fasting Police are going to get us...lmao.
Fasting is good for me, and I do try to maintain a fast when I am on it...but I am trying to retrain myself not to get so bent out of shape if I eat a grape...lol. Maybe we need to define "eating"....in a more fasty-type way...lol...I don't think one or two bites of something should constitute breaking a fast (unless those two bites down a personal pizza...:). I don't see a reason you can't test food that you cook for your family...I mean, not testing can result in a really bad meal sometimes when you start putting in spices...
There is really no exact way to fast. Everyone does it differently for different reasons. But I do think that the only bad way to fast is to ignore warning signals from your body that you need to stop for a short period. I ignore my body's signals sometimes...and I always end up paying for it when I do. If I start feeling dizzy or sick...I eat something. If I feel exhausted (vs tired), I eat something. Once my body feels better, I go back to fasting as I still have more to get rid of.
Sometimes when I read the posts...I wonder why we are always so hard on ourselves and concentrate on what we don't accomplish instead of what we DO accomplish. I'm guilty of that as well... I wonder why we do that so much... (hmmmm...)
I know I addressed more than just your questions...I'm rambling aren't I...
lol...
