Hi Katie!
I hope that you read Uniquity's post below...

Another "reality check" on cleansing...
I thought of a couple of things today. Where are you at with liver & kidney cleansing? I tried to look at your past posts but you've got a LOT!
Now, this is from
Hulda Clark 's instructions:
" The synovial fluid around all joints will decrease if bile flow is low, sometimes causing terrible pain."
Here's another item that might pertain to your situation:
"Also, the body begins to suffer the effects of poor assimilation of fat-soluble nutrients, which may play a role in...tendonitis." Are you getting enough fat in your diet?
Now, with kidney cleansing....I'm not sure how this works, exactly. There is a LOT more info on Liver rather than kidney cleansing. I can tell you of my experience. I recently did a 3 week kidney cleanse, I used the
Andreas Moritz herbs. The first few days I felt like crap, felt like I had the flu. After that I would get waves of joint pain followed by feeling good. Eventually I just felt good:). Now, I am VERY unclear as to how this works, but here's something from "Timeless Secrets" that might hold a clue:
"Most people with painful joints have a morning urinary PH of 4.5, which means that more uric acid is precipitated during the night...By alkalising yourself at bedtime you prevent your urinary PH from dropping too low in the night. This will reduce the deposits in the joints and at the same time prevent dissolved kidney crystals into forming new stones."
Now this is in reference to actually being ON the
kidney cleanse but it does seem to indicate that acid can deposit in particular areas in the body. Maybe a clue there for you...
And finally...some time after my break/surgery, I noticed that my foot was deforming. My small toes, especially the baby toe, were not splaying out like the toes on the other foot. They were moving towards the big toe. I reasoned that as a result of my injury, I was compensating in some way. I'm not really sure how to explain this. I was definitly using my ankle/foot differently than I had before, stressing some muscles improperly and not using others enough. I started exercising that foot & conciously tried to match it's positioning/movement with the other.
Now, you have a steel rod in your back. How are you holding your body differently? Are you "compensating"? If you are, you bet that that could be affecting other parts of your body...
I hope there's a clue in here somewhere for you... :D
