Please be very careful about your diet and fast and possibly discuss it with a doctor, because a blood Sugar
(glucose) of over 125 is considered diabetes, and between 110 and 125 is considered pre-diabetes.
"Normal fasting blood glucose is below 100 mg/dl. A person with pre-diabetes has a fasting blood glucose level between 110 and 125. If the level rises to 126 or above, a person has full-blown diabetes." (http://www.mercola.com/2002/may/25/fasting.htm)
Dr. Mercola's website is an excellent, free resource and has many articles on how one can control blood Sugar
and/or diabetes through dietary changes. You and your husband will surely benefit from doing a bit of research there.
In the meantime, stay away from fruit juices during your fast. They raise blood Sugar
quickly. Use only begetable juices.
