My personal experience from on off fasting is that you do still lose, however sometimes the breaking of the fast encourages you to carry on eating, i think its very hard to effectively repeat the first 3 days over and over as these are the hardest days to get through. Once you start eating again you will want to eat more, food induces food and fasting induces fasting for me. I shld say i only have experience of juice fasting but perhaps the mental state is the same. Hunger pretty much disappears after 4 days on a juice fast anyway, have you considered adding juice as well ?? The other piece of advice is do be very careful what you choose to break with as after even 3 days fasting eating something bulky can give you very intense stomach discomfort...all the best and keep us posted on yr progress.
