We are seen as sort of "going against the grain" by losing weight this way.
It is difficult to find support when so many people haven't done their research and think you "mad" for what they call "starving yourself".
Fasting is not easy. One: because of the psychological draw to food, two: the habit of eating, and then mostly...detoxification.
We can better help you through this if we knew a little more of what your plans were. How long do you want to fast? What are your reasons/goals? What method of fasting? These nice folk on the boards have done several different kinds.
There's the water only, juice, or the Master Cleanse..., which is blasphemy because you aren't "suppose" to use that one for weight loss.
Everyone here wants you to be successful. Please stay on the board. Reading old posts is quite confidence building, plus very educational. And this is most important part...educating yourself about foods and their effect on the body and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
I have no problem with being part of a support group.
There are several regular posters who have some excellent advice to give.
