I'm trying to get some opinions about fasting my dog. He has a rather large fluid filled cyst with a couple of hard growths inside it. I don't know if it is cancerous or what. My hubby is of the opinion that dogs are dogs so you don't spend huge amounts of money on medical care so I haven't been to the vet about this. I was considering fasting him because I believe it would help shrink it, but would it be a very humane thing to do to him? He's not going to understand why I'm doing it. He's just going to know that Mommy isn't feeding him. He's not in any pain or anything. Maybe it's better to just let it go since it's not troubling him? Or force the issue with hubby and take him to the vet? What would you guys do?
