Okay, I have read all your replies and listened with open ears.. so here I go! I made some vegetable soup in the crock pot last night, and I am going to do as suggested and follow the 'Fuhrman diet' for one month at least. After that, I will see if I feel more in control of my eating. I got some salad greens (no iceberg of course) and some apples and bananas for my sweet tooth. I have already had a breakfast of the soup... and good grief, did I **MISS** my soda! I love sweetened drinks. I think that will be the hardest part of all this preparation. I did put a pinch of cayenne pepper in the soup which is helping with my Sugar
cravings, weirdly enough. I wonder what's in it that has that effect. I am not sure I'm up to that large green salad so soon after getting up. I am pretty certain it will have to wait til lunch each day.
As far as drinks go, I am just used to drinking at least 8 ounces
of fluid with each meal.. but I have read that this can dilute digestive juices and impede digestion. Hopefully I can train myself to wait 30 minutes or so and then have some fruit. I can't wait to make my life better and I hope to be able to fast on water with a couple months of preparation. I will keep you guys posted... thank you for all your help and advice!!!
