It usually takes the digestive system about 3 to 5 to days to shut down and when it does, the physical hunger pangs disappear. I say physical because you will get sensations, hollow feelings, cravings and the like off and on, here and there, throughout the fast. But the physical digestive system will be shut down.
You did the right thing, though, by drinking juices when you felt hungry. Greens really pack a punch and work marvelously at keeping the hunger at bay, soothing your nerves and healing down to the cellular level. They're loaded with chlorophyll, which is the key to the greens.
As to feeling bad for posting because you're comparing where you are with where others are... don't do that... we all had to begin at Day One. Comparing yourself to others is futile, because we're all on different paths to the same goal: Good health and well being.
