Read up on zinc. It's used quite a bit in the treatment of acne. Severe
Acne usually responds best to it. One 50mg a day is sufficient.
Something else to add - 200mg chromium, 400 IU Vit E
A B complex will help if you're worse during your cycle - if your triggers seem to be hormonal. I believe it's B6 that is giving good results for the hormonal end. Lots of people have had great success with B5 (Pantothenic Acid).
Definitely do some cleansing. I had excellent skin until I was about 22 - then all hell broke loose. I've done 7 or 8
Liver Flushes (900 stones give or take) I did the bowel cleansing, I did also just complete a 25 day master cleanse.
All of these cleanses left me with a barely there improvement - as far as clearing what was there. However, I wasn't getting anything new. My problem is cystic, and pretty isolated to my chin.
I read a book about the natural answer to OTC and prescription drugs, and the zinc/chromium/vit E was in there. There were a few other things, but I don't remember what they were.
I have only just recently started taking these in the mornings, it's been 4 or 5 days, and the improvement is enough that I can already tell the difference. I do have to get much better about drinking more water during the day - right now I'm about 10-15oz short of what I should be drinking.
