OK I finished the
Master-Cleanse last Friday, had my last
SWF (Salt-Water-Flush) on Sat morning, and then started the transition. I pretty much followed the book: orange juice until Sunday night, then vegetable soup for dinner and lunch the next day, and finally a salad and soup last night. Today it's back to "normal". Had a turkey sandwich for lunch and that went fine. My first meat for over two weeks. I plan to cut down, but it still tastes good to me. I have read about people that found meat unappealing after the MC, but that's not happening to me. In fact I can easily imagine diving into a pepperoni pizza, although I don't really "crave" one per se. But - I am really going to try to be good and introduce more raw fruits and vegetables into my diet. I also plan on increasing my water intake significantly, in lieu of coffee.
As far as lasting effects - I definitely lost weight - about 16 or 17 pounds. I imagine all of that won't stay off, but I'm going to try. Energy-wise - the jury's out. I had alot while on the fast. But during the transition, I found myself tired at times during the day. Today I feel ok, but not extraordinary. Maybe I needed more than 10 days. I'm definitely up for another round in the next couple of months.
I did not try anything fancy like P&B shakes & liver flush, because I wanted to see what the
Master-Cleanse alone would do. Maybe next time......
